Pottery Artist - Mr. Wang Tai Ming (¤ý®õ»Ê)


I've been doing a series of portraits on Taiwanese characters that doesn't quite fit in the economy-minded society here in Taiwan. Mr. Wang is one of the growing trend of free-thinkers that is hardly mainstream. What really impressed me is that most of his work actually contain "form and function." For example, the "branch" and "eagle" teapots are ergonomically designed, fitting ones hand perfectly. The most amazing is that none of his work is hand-colored. NONE. They are the same color coming out of the kilm. Obviously, the guy's good enough to determine color before they're fired (just look at the goldfish below).
